2024_11_17 Update

I have been working on the TEA manuscript. It is the foundational element and it’s important to develop the right tone. I am now done with the first draft of the preface and have created a basic outline for the introduction. I’ll be publishing these shortly.

I spent some effort deciding on a writing tool. The primary attributes I need are:

  • Ease of reorganizing ideas and blocks of text
  • Simplicity of using the basic features
  • Ability to copy/paste text into WordPress when I’m ready to publish
  • Distraction-free interface where I can focus on the words and eliminate the menus and sidebars

I had previously tried a few different editors that focus on writers. One that was highly recommended (and I purchased) is Scrivener. It had, at first, seemed like overkill for my needs. However, after I did more research and tried a few other tools I’ve come back to Scrivener. It is feature-rich and, at first, seemed complex. But after identifying the core features that I will actually be using, it seems more straight-forward than I had first imagined.

So, Scrivener is my tool. And I recommend it to other writers.
