The Essential Auditor (TEA) is a website where auditors help each other develop their brands.

It revolves around basic ideas that are explained in the (coming soon) book “The Essential Auditor”. These ideas will also be here – on this site – as articles for you to read, download, search, and use. All free, of course.

But we don’t stop there.

Each of these ideas is linked to a discussion forum. We encourage discussion, challenge, and helping each other apply these ideas to each of our unique situations. That’s what good internal auditors do.

And, once you’re registered, you can also join one or more groups where you can discuss anything relating to auditing and developing your brand with your peers.

Yes – we know that social networking and professional discussions are available all over the web.

But this one is dedicated to auditors building their brands. And improving their ability to add value. Your discussions won’t disappear based on the whim of some algorithm. And you won’t have to wade through paid advertising.

It’s focused. And it’s relevant.

And we want to be clear – we’re still building this. We’ll always be building this. Knowledge and ideas are never static or complete. So recognize that it’s a continuous work in progress. Those of us who are in it early will become the influencers for a generation of internal auditors.

If this sounds intriguing, join us. We think you’ll get some ideas that will help you build a more valuable brand that will set your career on a new trajectory. And, in the process, maybe you can make new professional friends and help them, too.

The goal is simple.

We want to improve the value of internal auditing – for the individual and the profession.

We are not in any way affiliated with the Institute of Internal Auditors or any professional group. This is about us. Taking advice. Giving advice.

If that’s not what you want, no problem. We aren’t for everyone.

So, if any of this sounds interesting, join us.

If you want to set your career on a higher trajectory, join us.

If you want to help raise the luster of the internal audit profession, join us.

If you believe you’re destined for big things and you want to figure out how to get there, join us.

And if you have a friend or peer who might benefit – invite them to join us.
